University looking for scholarships offers scholarships from affiliated scholarships to top university students. at the University of the Mountain. Approximately two-thirds of these awards are reserved for doctoral students. The university strives to fulfill its mission of building a global network of the future.

If you get this scholarship, you will have the chance to get:


Covering the full cost of studying at Cambridge:

Dependency Allowance for one student (£18,744 for 12 months at 2022-23) - for PhD students, award is for up to 4 years.

One economy ticket at the beginning and end of the course.

Covering entry visa costs and immigration health examination fees.

Additional discretionary funding is also available:

Academic development funding to attend conferences and courses ranging from £500 to £2000, depending on the length of study programme, Family Allowance - up to £10,944 for one child and up to £15,612 for two or more children.

Financing (Maternity/Paternity) - if requested, you can apply to interrupt your studies for up to 6 months and continue to receive dependency allowance during this time.

Hardship Financing - Unexpected difficulties facing the researcher.


Application criteria

You can apply for the Gates Cambridge Scholarship if you:


  • A citizen of any country outside the UK.
  • You wish to pursue one of the following courses at the University of Cambridge:  

  1.   PhD (full-time or part-time). 
  2.   Master's degree in Literature (MLitt) (full-time).
  • One year postgraduate course (full-time).
  • If you are currently studying at Cambridge and would like to apply for a new postgraduate course.
  • Current Gates Cambridge scholars may also apply for a second scholarship if they are applying for a new degree.
  • Courses not eligible for the Gates Cambridge Scholarship:
  • Any university degree, such as BA or Associate's
  • Business Doctor (BusD)
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA)
  • Master of Finance (MFin)
  • MASt . courses
  • Postgraduate Education in PGCE
  • MBBChir . Clinical Studies
  • Postgraduate Course in Medicine (A101)
  • Part-time degrees excluding Ph.D.
